Director Danny Murray
Veteran Church musician, Danny Murray has coached collegiate-aged musicians for over 25 years at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Former Promotions Director for Bill Gaither & SpringHouse, Danny and his wife Debbie Murray founded and directed the ensemble NEW HARVEST; recording some 11 projects and touring internationally for 15 years. He has served as Music Minister for the North Cleveland Church of God, was on the Church of God Music Ministries Board, and has also assisted as the Program Director for Teen Talent. Danny is a favorite choral clinician who brings practical instruction, humor and a lot of heart to inspire singers to present their musical worship with excellence. His wife, Dr. Deborah Murray, is the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Lee University, and together they have three daughters and one son.
The Voices of Lee is a 15 member a cappella ensemble from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Founded September 1994, the President of Lee University, Dr. Paul Conn, wanted to make a new group to represent the university. Excellence in harmony, spirit, and performance depicts the lush musical style of The Voices of Lee. Since their debut in September '94, their intense musical focus has captivated audiences worldwide. Directed by Danny Murray, this fourteen-member group is characterized by their unique variety of lush vocal harmonies, high-energy patriotic numbers, fun-filled audience participation, as well as heart-felt gospel favorites.
